Gauge
Main pattern, hook No. 6: 14 sts and 8.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Fan pattern, hook No. 7: 12.5 sts of the starting chain and 7 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Attention: The fan pattern details should be crocheted top-down directly onto the upper parts' cast-on edge. The arrows on the pattern = direction of crochet.
Back: For the upper part, with crochet hook No. 6, chain 70 + 3 turning chains and crochet in the main pattern. After 4.5 cm = 4 rows from the lower edge, decrease 3 sts on both sides for the armholes (= at the beginning of the row, work sl sts, leave sts unworked at the end of the row), then decrease 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in each row = 54 sts. After 23.5 cm = 20 rows from the lower edge, leave 22 sts unworked in the middle for the neckline and finish both sides separately. For the rounding, decrease 1 x 2 sts on the inner edge in the next row. After 26 cm = 22 rows from the lower edge, finish the work on the 14 shoulder sts.
Continue with crochet hook No. 7 in the fan pattern along the lower edge of the upper part = 4 repeats + 1/2 repeat. After 48.5 cm = 34 rows from the start of the fan pattern, finish the work. The fan pattern expands as it increases in height, reflected as a slant on the pattern.
Front: Work similarly, but after 10.5 cm = 9 rows from the lower edge, leave 10 sts unworked in the middle for the neckline. For the rounding, decrease 2 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st on the inner edge in each row, then decrease 1 more x 1 st in the next 2nd row.
Assembly: Perform shoulder and side seams. Edge the neckline and armholes with crochet hook No. 6 by working 1 round of sc and 1 round of "crab stitch" (= sc from left to right). Crochet a flower and sew it to the neckline.
For the tunic's lower body, continue with crochet hook No. 7 and work in the fan pattern from the lower edge of the upper part. Ensure to match the pattern increases to the slant indicated on the pattern, accounting for the widening effect as the garment lengthens. After 48.5 cm = 34 rows from the beginning of the fan pattern, complete the work.
For the assembly, sew the shoulder and side seams. Using crochet hook No. 6, edge the neckline and armholes by working 1 round of sc and 1 round of "crab stitch" (sc from left to right). Create the flower by crocheting a chain of 4, close it into a ring, and follow the rounds as described to form the flower pattern. Once finished, attach the flower to the neckline of the tunic.
