Worsted weight yarn in Red(A), White(B) and Blue(C)
G crochet hook
Makes a 6½ - 7" square
With A, chain 12. Join with sl st to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Ch 5, (1 trc in ring, ch 1) 15 times. Join with sl st in 4th ch of ch 5.(16 ch 1 spaces)
Rnd 2: Ch 4, 3 dc in first ch 1 space, drop loop from hook, insert hook in 4th ch of ch 4 and through dropped loop, draw loop through ch, ch 2, (4 dc in next ch 1 space, drop loop from hook insert hook under 2 loops at top of first of the 4 dc and through dropped loop, draw loop through dc, ch 2) 15 times. Join with sl st in top of ch 4. End off color A.
Rnd 3: Join B in any ch 2 space, ch 3, 3 dc in same space as joining, ch 2, 4 dc in same space(corner). *(Ch 1, 1 sc in next ch 2 space) 3 times; ch 3; in next ch 2 space work (4 dc, ch 2, 4 dc) for corner; repeat from * twice, (ch 3, 1 sc in next ch 2 space) 3 times, ch 3.
