Gingerbread Man Craft Step by Step Directions
Gather all supplies. To create both the Gingerbread Man and Woman, line up five jumbo craft sticks on your work surface. We use a scrap of cardstock fit to the width of the sticks glued to the back to glue together. Let the glue set.
Paint the front and sides of the gingerbread couple with brown acrylic paint. Let the glue dry completely.
Adhere two wiggle eyes to each gingerbread person. Create cheeks with pink acrylic paint and a sponge dabber. Let the paint dry again.
Now, create two simple wavy line shapes out of white craft foam for the gingerbread icing detail.
Then, glue one of the pieces of the white craft foam decorative icing to the top and bottom of each Gingerbread person.
Attach self-adhesive rhinestones or gems along the wavy icing detail. If you don’t have rhinestones or gems, you can use small buttons, pom poms, over even dots of acrylic paint.
Draw a large smile from cheek to cheek using a black marker.
Next, tie a strand of ribbon in two small bows. Using scissors, trim any long ends in a triangle pattern. Trimming the ends of the ribbon not only finishes the bow, but it also prevents the ribbon from fraying.
Finally, attach the bow to the top of the Gingerbread Woman and to the bottom of the Gingerbread Man with glue or glue dots to finish this adorable gingerbread man and woman craft. They’re so sweet, you just want to eat ‘em up! But don’t.
