DIY Handkerchief Bunting
Turning old handkerchiefs into a beautiful DIY bunting is a fun and creative way to add a touch of charm to any space. This project is not only a great way to upcycle old handkerchiefs but also allows you to add a personal touch to your home decor. Step 1: Gather and press a dozen handkerchiefs.
Step 2: Cut 8-inch strips of satin ribbon. We used Celebrate It 3/8-inch ribbon in guava.
Step 3: Take one length of ribbon, and fold it in half. Position on the upper left corner of a handkerchief with ends facing up and away from the edge. Use a needle and matching thread to secure ribbon with a few stitches. Sew a second strip of ribbon to the upper right corner. Repeat these steps to sew two strips of ribbon to each of the remaining hankies.
Step 4: Cut 2 (2½-yard) lengths of jute twine. Tie six handkerchiefs to each length, and hang.
