Crochet Fortune Cookie Pattern

The pattern is made by crocheting a simple circle and then stitching it into place. Gauge isn’t important.

Start with a magic ring (or chain 2 and work in the first chain)

Round 1: 6 single crochet in a circle.
Round 2: 2 single crochet into each single crochet around (12 single crochet)
Round 3: *2 single crochet in next single crochet, 1 single crochet in next single crochet* Repeat from * to * around (18 single crochet)
Round 4: *2 single crochet in next single crochet, 1 single crochet in next two single crochet* Repeat from * to * around (24 single crochet)
Round 5: *2 single crochet in next single crochet, 1 single crochet in next three single crochet* Repeat from * to * around (30 single crochet)
Round 6: *2 single crochet in next single crochet, 1 single crochet in next four single crochet* Repeat from * to * around (36 single crochet)

Round 7: *2 single crochet in next single crochet, 1 single crochet in next five single crochet* Repeat from * to * around (42 single crochet)

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Fold circle in half and stitch together, leaving a small hole for stuffing. Add in a tiny amount of stuffing and then finish stitching up the hole.

Pinch the ends of the semi-circle together to form a fortune cookie shape. Use just a couple of stitches to stitch the fortune cookie into shape.
