What you need

  • 1.5 mm crochet hook
  • Black yarn (50g)
  • Neon yarn: pink, electric blue, purple (50g)

Stitches

  • ch: chain
  • sl st: slip stitch
  • dc: double crochet
  • inc: increase (2 dc in one loop)
  • dc2tog: pull yarn through loop, pull yarn through second loop, yarn over and pull through all loops
  • BLO: back loop only. Insert the stitch in the back loop and continue with the stitch as normal
  • 2tr bob: Bobble stitch. Yarn over, insert hook into the next stitch, yarn over and pull through loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull through loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over and pull through 3 loops.

Rnd 21: dc in next 7 st, change to pink and do 2tr bob in next stitch, change to black. Continue stitching 7 black and 2tr bob pink until the end of the round - 84 st.
Rnd 22-23: (2 rounds) dc in each st around (black) - 84 st.
Rnd 24: change to blue and do 2tr bob in next stitch, change to black and dc in next 13 st. Continue stitching 2tr bob blue and 13 dc black until the end of the round - 84 st.
Rnd 25-26: (2 rounds) dc in each st around (black) - 84 st.

Change to purple yarn.

Rnd 27: BLO dc in each st around - 84 st.
Rnd 28: [dc2tog, dc in next 4 st] 6 times - 72 st.
Rnd 29: [dc2tog, dc in next 3 st] 6 times - 56 st.
Rnd 30: [dc in next 5 st, dc2tog] 6 times - 49 st.
Rnd 31: [dc in next 5 st, dc2tog] 6 times - 42 st.
Rnd 32: [dc in next 5 st, dc2tog] 6 times - 36 st.
Rnd 33: dc2tog, dc in next 4 st, ch 12, insert hook into previous st and dc in each st until you reach the base, sl st. Repeat until the end of the round. - 30 st.

Change to blue yarn.

Rnd 34-end: dc2tog, dc in next 2 st. Continue stitching in circle until closed. Fasten off.

Tentacles

Insert hook anywhere inside the blue circle, ch until you are satisfied with the length, then insert hook into previous st and dc in each st until you reach the base, fasten off. Repeat the process and add as many tentacles as you want, switching colors.
