Penguin Using Popsicle Sticks

Materials

  • Popsicle Sticks
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Brown String or Yarn
  • Glue
  • Glitter Foam Sheets
  • Ribbon or Decorative String
  • Googly Eyes
  • Plaid Ribbon or Fabric

Instructions

    Glue 3 popsicle sticks together.

    Paint the popsicle sticks black and allow the paint to dry completely.

    Wrap the popsicle sticks with black string or yarn until no popsicle stick area is showing.

    Cut shapes from the glitter foam to create a belly.

    Next, add the feet and a beak and then glue in place.

    Glue googly eyes onto the penguin above the beak.

    Cut a strip of plaid ribbon or fabric and tie around the popsicle sticks.

    You have the option to glue the ribbon in place or simply tie it.

    Your beautiful and easy penguin crafts are just about ready!

    Loop a ribbon or decorative string and glue onto the back of the ornament.

    You can hang these penguin decorations on the Christmas tree or around the home. This would also make a great Christmas craft for preschool kids in the classroom setting.
