• Unless otherwise specified, work in continuous rounds without using a slip stitch to join rows.
• Move stitch markers up each row as you go.
• Magic Ring: Create a magic ring and work the specified number of single crochet into it (ex. MR6 = 6sc into the ring).
• Single Crochet: Unless otherwise specified, this project uses the yarn under technique. Insert your hook into the stitch, yarn under, pull up a loop (2 loops on your hook), yarn over, and pull through both loops.
• Increase: work 2sc into the same stitch.
• Decrease: Unless otherwise specified, use the invisible decrease method. Insert your hook into the front loop of the next stitch, then insert your hook into the front loop of the following stitch, yarn over and pull through the first loop (3 loops on the hook), then yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on the hook.
• Popcorn Stitch: work 4sc into one stitch, remove the hook, insert the hook into the first sc (from front to back), reach over to your working loop and pull it through the first sc, ch1.

Start with Color A and a 3.25mm hook.

Row 0: MR6 Place your stitch marker in the first stitch.

Row 1: inc 6 times. (12)

Row 2: [inc, sc] 6 times. (18)

Row 3: BLsc around. (18)

Row 4: sc around. (18)

Fasten off Color A. Attach Color B in the front loop of a stitch on Row 4 with a ch 1 (the ch 1 doesn’t count as a st).

Row 5: sc (place your stitch marker here), inc, sc, [sc, inc, sc] 5 times. (24)

Don’t sl st to join, just continue working in the round.

Row 6: [inc, 3sc] 6 times. (30)

Row 7: BLsc around. (30)

Star Tree Topper

Make 2 stars

Using Color C and a 2.75mm hook.

Tip: Use regular sc (yarn over) for the stars because they’re worked flat.

Row 0: MR10

Row 1: sl st to join, [ch 4, sc in the second ch from the hook, hdc, dc, sl st in the next st on the MR, sl st] 4 times. (5 points of the star)

Fasten off and weave in all ends on the first star. On the second star, DON’T fasten off.

Line up the two stars flush with each other and the wrong sides facing out.

Using the working loop from the second star, sl st along the edges (working under all 4 loops) all the way around the star.

Fasten off with a long tail. Use the yarn tail to sew the star to the tip of the tree. Weave the remaining yarn tail into the star or tree.

Cut a length of yarn/ribbon/wire, etc… and tie a wide loop, attaching it to the tip of the star so the ornament can be hung.
