Materials
- foam pumpkin
- scrap fabric of your choice
- jute twine
Tools
- rotary cutter
- cutting mat
- wooden skewer or other punch tool
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
Instructions
- Prepare fabric squares. Start by cutting 1" strips of fabric (no need to be super precise in measurement). Then, lay 2-3 strips together and cut them into 1" squares.
Apply fabric squares to pumpkin. Using a wooden skewer, begin pressing the squares into the pumpkin. It is helpful to hold the skewer at an angle. If you press straight into the pumpkin, you will poke right through the fabric. Repeat until the entire pumpkin is covered.
Embellish the pumpkin. Braid 6 strands of twine together about 2 to 2 1/2 feet in length. This braid will be used to cover the stem using hot glue. Make a bow with the remaining braid and hot glue it to the stem.
