Crochet Flower Keychain

Supplies:
- G 4mm Crochet Hook
- 2 Colors worsted weight yarn ( Sungold, Medium Blue and Mid Green in "I Love This Yarn" was used
- Stitch Marker
- Polyfil
- Scissors
- Tapestry Needle
Stitch Key (US terms)
- MC: Magic Circle
- SS: Slip Stitch
- CH: Chain
- SC: Single Crochet
- INC: Increase - 2SC into same stitch
- HDC: Half Double Crochet
- DC: Double Crochet
Center of Flower (Crochet 2 in Sungold)
Round1: Start with 6SC into a MC (6)
Round2: INC in each stitch (12)
Round3: (1SC + 1INC)6x (18)
Round4: (2SC + INC)6x (24)
- SS into next stitch + CH1 + Fasten Off
Petals (Medium Blue)
Place both center pieces together with wrong sides together. You will be lining up the stitches for each piece and crocheting Round 5 around both pieces. Join petal color to the top of any 2 stitches to get started.
R5: 1SC into every stitch (24)
- Stuff with polyfil after working 20SC, then crochet next 4SC
R6: *SS into top of first SC + CH1 + 1DC into same stitch + CH3. Into the next stitch 1DC + CH1 + SS into same stitch.
- repeat from * until you have 12 petals
- CH1 + fasten off
Attach keychain to CH3 space of any petal
Leaf (Mid Green)
Start with a CH6
- Starting in 2nd CH from hook work
- 1SC + 1HDC +1DC + 1HDC
- in last stitch work 1SC + CH3 + 1SC
You will now be working on the other side of the foundation chain
- 1HDC + 1DC + 1HDC + 1SC
SS into first SC making sure to work around both the SC and Keychain
(insert hook into SC then place keychain on hook, yarn over and pull yarn through keychain and SC + CH1 + fasten off)
