Materials

  • Craft Sticks, Jumbo – Dollar Store
  • Felt Heart and Key Table Scatter – Dollar Store
  • Iridescent Glitter Glue – Dollar Store
  • Baker’s Twine – Dollar Store
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Low Temp Works Best
  • Acrylic Craft Paint – Pink
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors

Instructions

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies. To create the heart, line up four jumbo craft sticks at a slight angle on your work surface. Using scissors, trim additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the heart and attach with a glue gun and glue sticks. Repeat with the second half of the heart, lining up the craft sticks at the opposite angle.

Glue the heart halves together by lining up the halves along the bottom edges.

TIP: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for it to dry.

STEP TWO

Basecoat the front and sides of the craft stick Valentine heart with pink acrylic craft paint. Let dry, and apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP THREE

Squeeze out a small amount of iridescent glitter glue and spread out over the surface of the craft stick Valentine heart with your finger. Set aside to dry.

STEP FOUR

Select a heart and a key shape of your choice from the variety pack of felt table scatter. Attach them to the top center of the heart with a glue gun and glue sticks. Tie baker’s twine into a bow, and glue to the heart to finish.

All finished!
