40 grams of Stylecraft Special DK yarn in colour 1
10 grams of Stylecraft Special DK yarn in colour 2
3.50m & 4.00mm crochet hooks
TENSION – 5tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Multiples of 3 + 1
With colour 1 and 4.00mm hook make 40ch loosely, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * miss 2ch, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next ch, * rpt from * to * last 3ch, miss 2ch, 2tr into last ch. Turn. (11 groups)
Pattern Row – (RS) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * miss 2tr and dc, (2tr, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3tr, work 2tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row until 22 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Turn.
Change to 3.50mm hook.
Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next tr, * work 1dc into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 2tr, miss 1dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr and 3tch, 1dc into tr, 3dc into top of 3ch, work 35dc evenly into row ends down first side of cloth, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, work 35dc evenly into row ends up second side of cloth, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 row of 1dc into each dc around cloth to end, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.
Join in colour 2.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 2 rows of 1dc into each dc around cloth to end, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Fifth Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of doily, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. Fasten off.
Join in Colour 1.
Sixth Row – 1ch, * (ss, 3ch, 3tr, 3ch, ss) into next 1ch space, miss 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working a ss into centre dc on each corner, ss to first ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
