Battery Operated Flicker Candle
Recycled Tuna Can (10 oz. or larger)

Upcycled Tin Can DIY Pillar Candle Holder
I decided to make a DIY pillar candle holder out of a recycled 10 oz. tin can and surround it with Dollar Tree bunnies.
The first step would be to paint the tin can. I used gold leaf spray paint to cover the can inside and out. I had the paint on hand, and it worked perfectly. However, I could have used black, brown, or off-white for a similar result.
How To Paint The Dollar Tree Bunnies
Next, the Dollar Tree Bunnies needed painting. Since they have their cute bunny tails attached, it will be necessary to paint them with a brush. Instead of paint, I decided to use gold leaf Rub N Buff.
To cover the bunnies with Rub N Buff, I added a small amount to a folded paper towel and rubbed it over the wooden bunny to cover most of its front and back sides. Then, I used a small brush to work around the bunny tail to avoid getting the wax on the fuzz.
How To Attach The Bunnies To The Tin Can
This is so easy! All you need to do is add hot glue to the bottom half of the bunny’s back sides. Press the bunny onto the upcycled tin can and hold for a few seconds. Ensure the bottom of the wood bunny is even with the bottom of the tuna can.
Continue to align the bunnies next to each other until you have completely circled the tin can.
That’s it!
