Bunny Mason Jar Terrarium

SUPPLIES NEEDED

• Ceramic bunny (from Crafter’s Square painting set)
• Waverly chalk paint – mineral color (I buy mine at Walmart)
• Foam Pouncer
• mason glass jar – a solid jar without imprinting or text works best (Dollar Tree or Craft Store)
• Reindeer moss (Dollar Tree)
• 3-4 Mini speckled foam Easter eggs (or any small eggs you have on hand) 
• 1 sheet of scrapbook paper
• Scissors
• Pen or pencil for tracing
• Twine

Start by painting the ceramic bunny any color you’d like. I personally like using chalk paints because of its matte finish and quick dry time. I recommend using the small side of a foam pouncer to get inside the nooks and crannies of the bunny and help create a textured finish.

1. Set the bunny aside to dry.
2. Fill the bottom of the glass jar with a small bunch of reindeer moss, creating a small nest.
3. Add mini Easter eggs on top of the moss.
4. Using the ring top to the jar, trace a circle onto scrapbook paper. Cut out the circle, and place it inside the mason jar ring. This will create a solid lid for your mason jar, that’s a bit more decorative than a plain silver canning lid.

1. Once the ceramic bunny has dried, place it inside the jar.
2. Finish the look by taking a piece of twine and wrapping it around the rim of the jar 4 times and tying it off with a simple bow.

TIP: Keep in mind that you can use any color and type paint that you want, especially if you want to match your bunny terrarium with a particular decor style.
