• 2 red pipe cleaners
• 1 white pipe cleaner
• glue – glue dots would be the most simple for this craft, but anything tacky would work
• 6 inches of red yarn

Instructions:

• For younger kids, get your red pipe cleaners prepared ahead of time by…Gluing the 2 red pipe cleaners together
• *Older kids can do this part themselves
• Just place a glue dot or tacky glue (like Fabri-tac) on both ends of the red pipe cleaner and press them together to form 1 wide red pipe cleaner – like the photo above
• For younger kids, you can get the candy can started by doing a twist or two of the white pipe cleaner (leaving space between each wrap) around the 2 red pipe cleaners
• *Older kids can do this part themselves
• Once you’ve got a little white wrapped around the 2 red ones, keep it going. Wrap the white all the way down until you run out
• You’ll have excess red at the end

• Trim the excess off and form the pipe cleaners into a candy cane shape
