Red Heart Worsted Weight acrylic yarn in Raspberry.
Size H8/5.0mm aluminum crochet hook
Yarn Needle

How to do a popcorn:
Work 5dc in stitch indicated. Take hook out and insert it into the first dc. Then put the loop back on to the hook and pull this loop through the first dc. Ch1.

NOTE: For all of the rounds except for the last one, you will be working between stitches instead of in them. And I will refer to the spaces between the stitches as sp.

Instructions RND 1: Ch4, join w/slst to first ch to form ring. Ch3. Work 15dc in ring. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 2: Slst into the first sp. Ch5. Dc in same sp. Dc in next sp. Ch2. *Sk next sp. Dc in next sp. Dc, ch2, dc in next sp. Dc in next sp. Ch2. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to 3rd ch of ch5.

RND 3: Slst into the next sp. Ch3, dc in same sp, ch2, 2dc in same sp. Dc in next sp. Pop in next ch2 sp. Dc in next sp. *2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in next sp. Pop in next ch 2sp. Dc in next sp. Rep from * around. Join w/slst to top of ch3.

RND 4: Slst into the first sp. Ch3. 2dc, ch2, 2dc in next ch2 corner sp. Dc in next sp. 2dc in next sp. Dc in next sp. Ch1. Sk the pop. RND 12: This is the only rnd where you will work in the stitches. Ch1. (Sc in next st. 2sc in next st. Twice.) 2sc, ch2, 2sc in next ch2 corner sp. *Sc in next st. 2sc in next st. Rep from * across to next corner. (You will work 2 sc in each of the 2 ch1 spaces on each side. and 2sc ch2 2sc in each corner sp. )When you get back to the beginning. Join w/slst to first sc. Fasten off and weave ends into work.

How to put the Pillowghan together:
Generally you make 13 squares and sew them together 3x4 squares. Then sew the 13th square to the center square at the bottom of the afghan, right side facing the right side of the afghan. and sew 3 sides of it to the afghan. Leave open the side that faces the inside of the afghan.

To fold it up into a pillow. Lay the afghan down so that the pillow pocket is facing down. Fold the afghan lengthwise into thirds following the seam lines. Then fold up the afghan starting at the end where the "Pocket" is not and fold it up to form a square. Then Turn the Pocket inside out over the folded afghan.

Your pillow is formed.
