Gnome Christmas Craft Step by Step Directions
First, make a tassel with yarn.
To make a tassel with your yarn, cut 20-8” long pieces of yarn and lay them next to each other.
Then, fold the bundle of yarn in half and tie the top off into a double knot with another 8” piece of yarn, this will be the gnome’s beard
Next, cut a 10” piece of twine and slide it through the top of the tassel. This will be your loop to hang the ornament.
Slide a bead through a 10” long piece of yarn and tie it carefully around the tied off tassel like pictured for the gnome’s nose.
Trim the beard into an upside down triangle sort of shape.
Now, cut a square from the corner of your felt, about 4”x4”.
Make a second rounded cut corner to corner to make a rounded triangle
Fold the triangle piece into a cone and carefully hot glue the edges together.
Now carefully glue the felt hat onto the top of the tassel and slightly over the nose, making sure to push the twine through the top of the hat.
Finally, tie the twine into a loop and hang your phe-gnome-enal gnome ornament on your Christmas tree.
