JOINING WITH SC
When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.
DISHCLOTH
Rnd 1: (Right Side) Starting at center, with White, ch 10, join with sl st to first ch to form ring; ch 3 (counts as first dc now and thoughout), 2 dc in ring, [3 dc in ring, ch 2] 7 times; join with sl st to first dc. (24 dc and 8 ch-2 sps)
Rnd 2: Sl st to ch-2 sp, ch 3, (dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same sp, [(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in next sp] around; join with sl st to first dc. (8 shells)
Rnd 3: Sl st to ch-3 sp, ch 3, (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp, dc in sp between shells, [(3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 sp, dc in sp between shells] around; join with sl st to first dc. (8 shells and 8 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 4: With right side facing, join Green with sc to any ch-3 sp, 4 sc in same sp, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next dc (between shells), [5 sc in next ch-3 sp, skip next 3 dc, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next dc] around; join with sl st to first sc. Rnd 6: With right side facing, join White with sl st to any ch-1 sp, [ch 2, sl st in next ch-1 sp] around, ending with sl st in first sl st. Finish off and weave in ends.
