DIY Pumpkin Using An Old Frame
If you're looking for a fun and creative DIY project, transforming an old frame into a stylish pumpkin can be a perfect way to add some festive flair to your home decor. It's a simple and budget-friendly project that will surely impress your guests and bring a touch of autumn warmth to your home.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. Old picture frames from a yard sale
2. Scrap piece of a lace curtain
3. Hot glue
4. Scissors
5. Green paint
6. Walnut colored Gel Stain by DecoArt
7. Brown shipping paper
8. A sheet of Spainsh moss
I traced the frames onto the lace and then cut out the lace
You will glue the lace to the back side of the frames. Be sure to pull the lace tight as you glue it in place.
I used simple brown shipping paper to create a stem for the pumpkin.
I gathered the brown paper and started twisting it a few inches up from the bottom. You can use hot glue to hold your twist in place.
I glued the stem to the frame .
I added some of the Walnut Gel stain to the stem.
I cut a few leaves out of the brown paper and painted them green. Once the leaves were dry I glued them to the sheet of moss. I purchased my sheets of moss from Hobby Lobby.
You will cut the leaves out and then glue them to the frame.
